With 13 years experiences I am acting as Legal officer with main functions and responsibilities such as:
Provide concise and timely legal opinions/advice to the GAO Authority
on matters relating to the GAO Project;
? Represent the GAO Authority in court when necessary;
? Ensure implementation of GAO Project legal instruments;
? Collaborate with line management to develop effective strategies;
? Research and evaluate various risk factors relating to GAO Authority decisions
GAO Authority;
? Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advice on potential
on potential legal issues;
? ;
? Produce any legal documents on behalf of the GAO Authority and as part of the
development of the GAO Project;
? Interpret and provide clarification of legal language or specifications
within the GAO Authority;
? Contribute to the formulation, preparation, coordination and execution of the budget of the
Department;
? Perform other related duties as assigned by line management;
? Demonstrate integrity and accountability.

? Approving conceptual design package & FEED
? Agreeing upon & Enforcing Terms of Pipeline Development plan

? Coordinating and facilitating all necessary approvals

The WAGP is the first trans border regional infrastructure to transport natural gas from
Nigeria to commercially viable markets in three neighbor countries (Benin, Togo,
Ghana) to
Provide expanded sources of energy in the West African Region;
Enhance economic integration of the region and foster closer
relations between States Parties;
Contribute to the development of relations and exchanges between
States Parties and to the implementation of their energy
programmes in accordance with Article 28 of ECOWAS Revised
Treaty
The WAGP is developed in the framework of a public- private partnership involving 4 State Parties and a joint venture of 6 companies (2 IOCs and 4 local) which formed the
West African gas Pipeline Company (WAPCo)
It is developed under ECOWAS leadership

As regulatory body representing the state parties and facilitating the WAGP project’s activities, WAGPA mission is to promote ECOWAS regional integration and economic development through sustainable gas natural business.

To be a leading regulatory body in natural gas development in the sab-region.
GOAL
WAGPA’S main goal is to seek to assure sustainable supply of the gas to relevant West Africa countries at competitive and affordable cost.
